After the event rider stated that the preference was for him to obtain a position midfield with cover, however, he was given the option to go forward if circumstances permitted. He said in the early stages his mount did not travel strongly and was not travelling well enough to cross runners to his inside which resulted in his mount racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added in the Home Straight his mount responded fairly to his riding, however, he was not too disappointed with the performance having regard to the wide run that the horse endured during the race. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 727.

After the event rider stated that when the pace steadied in the middle stages his mount commenced to race keenly and as a result he elected to make a forward move from the 800M. He said his mount was unable to cross runners to his inside and as a result raced wide and without cover thereafter before its run ended near the 200M. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 754.

5 H433  MAGNIFICENT NINE  22/06/2025   776  MAGNIFICENT NINE (H433) near the 750M was steadied to avoid a runner. Between the 250M and the 150M had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 150M was steadied when disappointed for clear running. Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards considered if there were grounds for a protest/objection following the horse being steadied when disappointed for clear running leaving the 150M. When the Stewards were satisfied that there were not sufficient room for the horse to improve between the eventual winner and the 2nd placegetter, they declined to lodge a protest/objection – Race 776.
