He said in the early stages he attempted to comply with the instructions but when runners to his inside held their position and his mount commenced to race keenly that resulted in his mount being caught very wide and without cover. He added that passing the 1000M as his mount continued to race keenly he attempted to obtain a position behind a runner but when another runner held its position to his inside his mount was then obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event – Race 795.

Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when it improved behind a runner. After the event rider stated that when his mount jumped only fairly and was crowded it settled further back in the field than intended - Race 780.
