3 12 SIROCCO (CA169) B Prebble -- Broke well, showed good early speed to cross outside leader from widest gate, had even run thereafter and travelled well to turn, kept trying in straight but found winner too good.
4 8 PRETTY TRIO (CB343) A Delpech SR Broke well, ridden up to hold forward spot, raced behind leader thereafter, had good trip to turn, stuck to paint and made steady ground in straight without 100% clear running in final 200 M.
5 10 SAN LORENZO (CC092) R Fradd -- Away with them, couldn't go early speed and settled 7th midfield 6Ls off lead, came 3 wide from 800 M and 4 wide into straight, kept trying in straight, solid effort.
6 13 KINDACROSS (CG041) F Coetzee TT Broke well, showed good early speed to take up running, kept going at a solid speed, tackled passing 300 M and couldn't go with them, missed place late.
7 2 STAY YOUNG (CD109) C Munce B Slowly away, travelled in rearward position 4 back on fence 9Ls from lead, had reasonable run in mid-section, made run between horses in straight and couldn't make real progress late.
8 1 EXPECTATIONS (CD078) E Saint-Martin SR Fair to begin, restrained to take trail, settled 5th from rear, 2 wide 9Ls off lead, made run 3 to 4 wide in straight, made steady progress in the straight, given too greater task.
9 6 TRIUMPHANT UNICORN (CD166) H W Lai -- Away with them, restrained from early speed battle when unable to cross, travelled in 5th position 2 wide 3 to 4Ls off lead, tracked eventual winner in straight but unable to quicken and merely held ground.
10 4 GOOD PROFIT (CD389) O Doleuze TT Reared at start and lost ground, raced in last place on rails 12Ls off lead throughout mid-section, had field in front on home turn and made some ground widest in straight.
11 14 ROOSEVELT (CD115) M W Leung -- Away with them, no early toe, settled midfield on rails 6 to 7Ls off lead, followed paint into straight, lacked turn of foot to make ground and could only held position at same pace.
12 7 GOODY (CD239) G Schofield -- Began with them, restrained from awkward draw, trapped while midfield 7 to 8Ls off lead, clipped heels at 800 M, proved difficult to settle thereafter, early effort told and was one paced in stretch.
13 3 KEY TO SUCCESS (CC116) M Rodd -- Fair to begin, raced a touch worse than midfield, 2 wide 7 to 8Ls off lead, had fair trip in middle stages, made run between horses in straight but was one paced to line.
