4 CONESTOGA (CE313) R Fradd -- Began with rest, ridden to go forward, crossed to race outside leader leaving straight, raced 2Ls back before rolling on when pace slowed to take control at Rock, kicked strongly on bend, defied them in straight to score well.
2 PACKING ANGEL (CB223) D Whyte B Handy to begin, slotted in nicely on rails, had easy trail 3Ls back, angled 2-wide in mid-section, challenged at leaders girth on bend, tried hard to match winner grinding away but beaten by better horse.
1 ADD THE FUN (CD308) H W Lai B Jumped nicely, allowed to stride forward to take up lead, dictated terms 1L clear before slowing to a crawl in mid-section, lost front and tracked leader on bend, hard ridden turning in, kept giving along rails to hold place.
11 NOBLE CONQUEROR (CG169) G Mosse -- Slow to begin, immediately at rear, raced 5Ls back on rails, not asked in mid-section, overraced with slow pace to bend, searching for run and behind tired horses turning in, held up to 200 M and flew late when clear. Unlucky.
8 CIRCULAR MACHINE (CG049) Y T Cheng -- Began well, showed speed to cross to rails and assume prominent spot, raced behind leader on rails in mid-section but shuffled back passing Rock, angled out on turning but couldn't peg back margin.
6 MOVE IT (CD211) O Doleuze H- Average to leave gates, restrained to near last, raced on rails 6Ls away unsuited by slow tempo in front, still had field in front at Rock and circled 3 and 4-wide turning in, made some ground down middle without threatening.
9 GALLANT FALCON (CD194) F Coetzee B/TT Even break, ridden up to be 1 out 1 back early, 2-wide 3Ls down at mid-point but forced 3-wide without cover when pace slowed, pressed on to challenge 1L back on bend, couldn't sprint with them and was one-paced last 100 M.
12 EXPEDITIOUS (CE136) K L Chui TT Jumped well enough, allowed to relax in midfield role, raced 2-wide 4Ls from leaders, didn't settle, forced 3-wide with cover in mid-section, struggling when pace improved on turn, plugged away in straight. (No room late.)
5 GOLD FIELD (CC096) S Dye B With them from gates, held spot on rails in midfield 4Ls, had easy time but did overrace with slow speed, steadied leaving turn, couldn't quicken in time turning in and simply plugged away to line.
3 FIGHTING MASCOT (CB426) M Nunes -- Broke with them, taken back to slot in near rear, raced in running line 5-6Ls from leader, made ground to be 4Ls back passing Rock, couldn't go up a gear and was one-paced in run to line, tight for room late.
7 SEASONS TREASURE (CB310) A Delpech P Average to jump, allowed to slide back from wide alley, lobbed along at tail 2-wide 6Ls back in middle stages, in traffic turning and run closed at 200 M, not in it thereafter but wasn't ever really likely.
