6 GOLD FIELD (CC096) F Coetzee B Tardy to begin, lacked speed and settled towards tail, raced on rails 6Ls from leaders, had quiet run in mid-section, angled out on bend and improved (on heels) turning, came with strong run at 250 M to gather them in for nice win.
7 JADE DRAGONFLY (CE331) O Doleuze -- Standard to leave gates, urged along to hold a forward position, raced behind early leader but angled into 1 out spot by midpoint, had plenty to offer but in traffic on bend, held up until 100 M, closed nicely when in clear.
3 NOBLE HEART (CC355) D Whyte B/TT Began with rest, pressed forward but unable to slot in to running line, posted 3 wide without cover 1L off leaders, did plenty but still challenged on bend, hit lead and fought on until 200 M but couldn't sprint again late.
9 RED PEPPER (CA196) G Mosse -- Fair to jump, unable to go early speed, dropped in for trail in midfield 4Ls away, raced 3 wide with cover improving on bend, challenged with run at 300 M, lacked extra gear to be a factor but stuck on well to make frame.
11 VINCERE (CE324) C Williams B Even beginning, pushed up to hold midfield spot 7Ls back in 2 wide role, had even run but shuffled back on bend, pushed along amongst horses on turning in, kept giving in straight making some ground, without looking likely.
1 CLASSA WIN (CA115) H W Lai -- Jumped with line, drifted back early to settle towards tail, raced 2 wide 5 to 6Ls off pace, tracked 3 wide with cover from midpoint, trailed nicely turning in, steadily made ground to be closest on line.
4 TACTIC KING (CG081) D Nikolic B/TT Fastest into stride, lost advantage from wide alley, pushed on when posted wide to take over at top turn, worried by outside horses throughout, under siege on turning but kept giving to 250 M before early work took toll weakening out.
10 HAPPY CONTENDER (CC152) K W Tsui TT Average break, restrained from wide alley to assume spot at rear, raced on rails in last place 7 to 8Ls back, lobbed along at tail to bend, stuck to rails in straight, steadily closed off without a lot of room but never really a factor.
5 GRAND CENTRAL (CG160) B Prebble B-/TT1 Began well, pressed on in search of lead, applied pressure outside early leader, raced at leader's girth thereafter, made another effort turning in and kept giving to 200 M but condition gave out and didn't finish off.
2 HOLIGAN (CH003) C Soumillon B Slow to begin, niggled along to hold spot just behind midfield, raced on rails 4 to 5Ls away, didn't spend a lot in mid-section, in traffic on bend and had trouble getting clear throughout straight. Never really saw clear running.
8 GRAND NOBLE (CG148) C K Tong B Reasonable beginning, soon mustered speed to cross to early lead, took trail after 400 M, had easy run behind leader thereafter, struggling on turning, didn't find when asked and dropped right out in straight. (Mucopus.)
