5 ARMADA (CE246) D Whyte -- Jumped nicely, put in prominent spot from the outset, travelled well 2 wide 2Ls behind pace, tracked nicely on bend, let down with a powerful sprint at 300 M to claim them easily, went on to score comfortably in fast time.
10 HELLO PRETTY (CE210) F Coetzee TT Shade tardy to begin, re-gathered to hold a spot in front of midfield 3Ls back on rails, enjoyed a quiet run tracking eventual winner to turn, eased out and chased hard but beaten by a better horse on the day.
3 VIVA PATACA (CG096) C Soumillon -- Standard break, settled worse than midfield 6 to 7Ls off the pace in a 2 wide role, relaxed nicely and tracked well making a 3 wide run on turning, cut back to inside and closed off nicely just unable to catch first two.
2 BULLISH LUCK (CC155) B Prebble B/XB Began with them but soon restrained to take up usual role towards rear, raced in 2 wide spot 8Ls off pace, not asked throughout and made 4 wide run on bend, made up plenty of ground down middle to make frame.
1 VENGEANCE OF RAIN (CD142) A Delpech TT Moderate beginning, urged along to take up spot 3 to 4Ls back in running line, had easy trip in mid-section, back in traffic on bend, didn't sprint when they dashed turning in but got going late to be nearest on line.
4 THE DUKE (CB282) O Doleuze -- Jumped reasonably, pressed on to lead early but handed up when pressured after 400 M, trailed leader thereafter and eased outside to challenge on turning, hit lead at 300 M but didn't show usual fight and only had 1 speed in finish.
6 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) D Beadman TT Began with rest but immediately restrained to rear from a wide alley, lobbed along at tail 10Ls from them throughout, still well back to bend, made run between horses and finished off evenly giving too great a start.
11 AIN'T HERE (CC288) G Mosse -- Even break, settled down in midfield 5Ls back in running line, improved on bend with a 3 wide run and came 4 wide into straight, lacked a dash but kept coming before run ended at the 200 M.
9 HELENE PILLAGING (CC084) D Nikolic TT First to hit ground, engaged in speed battle and took over after 400 M, kept them rolling at a reasonable speed, held a 1/2Ls advantage on turning, couldn't find when pressure was applied and dropped out when early effort took effect.
12 DAVE'S BEST (CC060) M Nunes -- Out with field, forced to restrain to near rear but unable to get in and raced 3 wide at rear 10Ls back throughout, well back and came 5 wide on bend, didn't make much impression in run to line.
7 ART TRADER (CE131) E Saint-Martin TT Ordinary to begin, improved to hold down spot on rails 6 to 7Ls off pace, had an easy time throughout, saved ground on rails to bend, didn't finish off as normally would and plodded to line. (Mucopus.)
13 HAPPEE OWNER (CE230) A Starke TT Jumped nicely, rolled on in search of closer spot, posted 3 wide without cover 3 to 4Ls back when unable to get in, always doing share of work, wide to bend, couldn't respond in straight and just battled away from 200 M.
8 BOWMAN'S CROSSING (CB138) S Dye SR-/B1 Out with field, lacked early initiative and soon in rearward division, raced on rails 8 to 9Ls away throughout, had easy time but had field to beat on bend, found little in straight and just plodded away for a sub par effort.
