2 2 MY HOME TOWN (CH331) D Whyte -- Out first, allowed to relax 5Ls back trailling pace group, had a good run in mid-section, made gradual progress on bend, went to them easily passing 150 M and kept going strongly before being just caught on line.
3 10 THUNDER DANCING (CG250) P H Lo B Showed early pace, took a trail on first two but still worked tracking solid pace, 2Ls back on rails on circle, switched out turning, challenged at 300 M, led briefly at 150 M but couldn't repell challengers late. (Solid effort.)
4 5 EIGHT PLUS NINE (CH259) K T Yeung B2/TT- Moderate jump, ended up 6 to 7Ls back in midfield on fence, had an easy time with pace on, saved ground on bend, made plenty of headway in straight to be nearest on line and made frame.
5 12 DREAM HORSE (CG029) F Coetzee TT Fast beginning pressed on in search of lead, raced 1/2L away outside leader, kept speed solid in mid-section, loomed closer leaving bend, took over on turning and then to 200 M before workload took effect. Held on gamely.
6 3 FEVER PITCH (CH326) C Soumillon -- Awkwardly away, ended up 7Ls back in midfield, suited by solid sections, still had job to do leaving bend, switched to middle and made plenty of ground to 100 M before run ended.
7 11 TRULLI (CH327) Z Purton -- Not much early dash, raced 9 to 10Ls back in 2 wide line, suited by solid pace in middle stages, still well back despite improving on bend, made even ground in straight to be nearest on line.
8 13 STAREILLY (CJ083) K L Chui TT Showed early pace, raced just off leaders 2Ls back following a hot pace, did share of work to bend, couldn't dash again in straight and gradually faded out.
9 14 LE ROSSIGNOL (CG196) E Wilson -- Standard jump, ended up with 10 or so lengths back behind midfield, niggled along on circle, kept to rails saving ground on straightening, never got in touch and made only minor late ground.
10 4 VIKING TOR (CE207) C W Wong CP Restrained from outset, ended up next to last 10 or so lengths pack, aided by solid pace, still well back in impossible spot on bend, made a little late ground passing tired horses.
11 9 WHIPLASH (CG072) C K Tong -- Taken back from gate, raced rear to last 10Ls of pace, saved ground on rails and aided by pace, still had plenty to do turning, found little and battled away in straight.
12 8 MAGIC TURBO (CJ098) O Doleuze XB1 No early pace and restored from an outside draw, raced 12Ls away in mid-section, helped by pace in mid-section, didn't find when asked and only beat tired runners to the line.
13 6 FLYING SPRINTER (CD021) G Mosse B Reasonable jump, posted 3 wide without cover 6Ls back, did plenty of work with pace on in mid-section, capitulated easily in straight to be well beaten.
14 7 CLASSA FOR EVER (CD085) M W Leung B1/TT1 Showed plenty of pace, led them and set a solid speed throughout, held a 1/2L advantage on bend, couldn't find when challenged turning and weakened out tamely.
