9 BULLISH CASH (CH049) B Prebble TT Began fairly, drifted back to race towards rear 6 or so lengths back, aided by pace but not assisted by bias, swept closer 4 and 5 wide on bend, shot clear at 350 M, eased down late for a comprehensive win.
7 FELLOWSHIP (CG292) D Beadman TT Out in line, went forward to take a prominent role, raced in 1 out 1 back spot, had to trail behind a solid pace in mid-section, challenged on bend but lacked dash of winner and was no match last 300 M.
6 AGILITY (CC361) E Saint-Martin XB Tardy into stride, settled at rear 8Ls off pace, had a good run with pace on, still last on turning with field to beat, made good progress down centre to be closest on line. Creditable effort.
8 HAIL THE STORM (CE125) G Boss B Restrained from a wide alley, ended up back with last few 6Ls off speed on line, aided by solid tempo, saved ground on bend, made some gradual progress in straight, however never really threatened.
1 PACKING WINNER (CE334) D Whyte -- Even jump, raced 3Ls back on rails, enjoyed an easy time following a hot speed, close enough on turning, unable to take opportunity at 400 M and failed to finish race off as normally would.
4 PLASTIC POLYMER (CH034) M Nunes -- Away fairly, ended up 5 or so lengths back 3 wide in midfield, did have cover but did share of work with pace on, made a wide run on bend, struggled to pick up and just kept on at same pace late.
3 CALIFORNIAMOUNTAIN (CG310) K L Chui TT Fast into stride, applied pressure to lead and shaded inside horse throughout, kept pace solid in mid-section, held a narrow advantage on turning, quickly overtaken and knocked up badly last 200 M. (Muco in trachea.)
5 SYLLABUS (CD388) F Coetzee B/TT Standard jump, took a midfield position in running line, suited by pace 4L back by bend, travelled well on turning, in traffic at 400 M and badly held up to 250 M, never a live prospect thereafter.
11 GROWL (CH224) Y T Cheng CP-/TT Began in line, pressed on to take closer order, ended up 3 wide without cover, did it tough with strong pace on, right there on turning but hard run took toll and dropped out in straight.
10 YOUNG HERO (CH071) H W Lai XB Out with rest, in running line before forced 3 wide, had cover 2Ls back just behind pace but doing some work with pace on, challenged on bend but soon under pressure and gave in easily.
2 SIR ERNESTO (CG051) Z Purton SR First to hit ground, went to lead easily enough but challenged from that point, held inside keeping a solid pace, under pressure turning and weakened right out in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)
