9 SPECIAL DRAGON (CH325) M Chadwick TT Out only fairly, driven up to roll forward and take up running, set terms to suit in front, still 1L clear turning, found plenty in straight to repel challengers and hold on comfortably late.
7 BERIO (CJ202) B Prebble XB Began evenly, took trial off pace 4Ls back in running line, relaxed well and enjoyed a good run to bend, made challenge at 300 M, kept challenging to 100 M but found winner a shade too good late.
5 DUMBARTON ROCK (CJ228) Z Purton TT Out with rest, elected to take a midfield trail 4Ls off speed, raced on rails but shifted 2 wide before bend, not used to turn, closed off nicely final 300 M to take placing.
2 SAFETY FIRST (CG161) M L Yeung B/TT Out with first few, went on to adopt 1 out 1 back position, had no excuses in run, into clear on turning and briefly challenged at 300 M but just maintained same pace.
1 FLYING TAMARI (CG151) M Du Plessis -- Moderate jump and drifted back to race 3 wide at rear, 8Ls off speed, had cover in mid-section, still well back to bend, made many lengths widest in straight to be closest on line.
6 INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS (CH103) O Doleuze -- Standard getaway ended up behind midfield 7Ls back, travelled evenly in mid-section, made a 5 wide run rounding bend, kept coming gradually making same late impression without threats.
4 STOLEN THUNDER (CJ003) E Saint-Martin -- Out with rest, ended up 3 wide in midfield 5 to 6Ls back with cover, continued to cover ground to bend, lacked extra gear but just held ground evenly in finish.
12 MAVERICK (CE199) J Victoire V/TT Away with rest, ended up 4Ls back on rails, had an easy time on rails, travelled well enough to bend, didn't pick up but just battled away under hands and heels riding.
11 SOMETHING SPECIAL (CJ014) D Whyte SR/TT Slow out, ended up back with last few best part of 8Ls away on rails, not asked in mid-section, set big task turning, made fair progress but unable to break down margin.
13 SPIRIT OF LO PAN (CH140) C K Tong B First out, led early but checked to take a trail, enjoyed easy run in middle stages, still there to bend, didn't let down and gave ground last 200 M.
10 HOLIDAY SUN (CJ328) Y T Cheng -- Began in line, unable to slot in, pressed on 3 wide without cover to race 3Ls back, did share of work to turn, hard run took toll and weakened out in straight.
14 FOREST FOUNTAIN (CJ047) C W Wong -- No early pace, ended up sharing a 9Ls back, still rearward on bend, severely checked by fallen horse and lost plenty of ground, never factored thereafter.
8 LONDON EXPRESS (CH107) W C Marwing CP Reasonable jump, pressed on to race outside of leader, had a fair run throughout, found little when asked on turning in, folded tamely. (Jockey reported not comfortable in action.)
