2 1 FINN MACCOOL (CK072) D Whyte TT1 Received the back wash of interference 200 M after the jump and settled back in the field. Gradually improved its position to race 1 off with cover, midfield. Worked into the clear and closed off well just falling short.
3 4 LUCKY PRINCE (CK285) M Chadwick TT Raced 3 back the fence, gained a split early in the straight and fought on well to the finish. After the race, the Veterinary Officer said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
4 2 TEAM WORK (CH276) K W Leung B Raced handy to the leaders but was caught 3 wide and without cover. Kept on well despite the ground coverage.
5 10 STORMIN JOBURG (CJ121) O Doleuze B Was checked about a furlong after the start, settling behind midfield, 2 to 3 deep with cover. Made some late ground without threatening.
6 7 SHY BALDY (CH168) W M Lai TT Led early then handed up near the 900 M and box seated thereafter. Faded in the final stages.
7 9 FAVOURITE SUPREME (CH203) W Pike B/XB1/TT Raced with the backmakers, 1 off. Plodded to the line.
8 3 BIG CHIEF (CK382) Z Purton -- Began awkwardly, then soon after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Travelled in 2nd position, 2 wide however was inclined to lay out. Weakened noticeably over the concluding stages. (Mucopus.)
9 5 SAMMY'S FALCON (CK383) B Doyle B1/TT1 As the start was effected lifted its front feet up and lost ground as a result. Travelled a distant last and proved reluctant to stride out and failed to respond to pressure at any stage in the race. (To trial.)
10 6 GRANDWAY FLYER (CK302) M W Leung -- Raced towards the rear along the fence. Gave ground quickly in the straight.
