6 1 ROMAN CROWN (J456) J McDonald Approaching the 400 Metres made contact with BLUE BARON on a number of occasions when improving to the outside of SKY PROPHET.
3 2 NEW FUTURE FOLKS (J418) B Thompson B Thompson was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference after the 1100 Metres (see SKY PROPHET). Leaving the 100 Metres shifted in and away from HONG LOK GOLF, resulting in its rider B Thompson having to stop riding and straighten his mount. When questioned regarding his riding, B Thompson stated that after being crossed by BINGO BABE in the early stages, that runner steadied the pace once it obtained the lead which resulted in NEW FUTURE FOLKS commencing to race keenly. He said as a result he shifted out to follow PACKING ANGEL near the 700 Metres, however, NEW FUTURE FOLKS continued to race keenly and would not settle. He added as a result near the 600 Metres he was obliged to shift to the outside of PACKING ANGEL to avoid that runner’s heels which resulted in NEW FUTURE FOLKS racing wide and without cover thereafter.

8 4 ANOTHER WORLD (K005) L Hewitson No report.
12 5 BINGO BABE (K115) K Teetan After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, was ridden along in the early stages to hold the lead from the outside barrier and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
4 6 BLUE BARON (J448) K C Leung Approaching the 800 Metres BLUE BARON, which was racing greenly, was checked when crowded between SKY PROPHET (A Badel) which shifted in slightly and SIKANDAR which lay out on the turn. Whilst the Stewards found that the racing manners of SIKANDAR and BLUE BARON were the principal reasons for the incident, A Badel was advised to exercise more care. Approaching the 400 Metres was bumped on a number of occasions and taken wider.
1 7 HONG LOK GOLF (J517) H Bentley Jumped only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 8 MAX QUE (J514) L Ferraris Approaching the 500 Metres was eased when taken wider by NEW FUTURE FOLKS which shifted to the outside of PACKING ANGEL. 9 12 SKY PROPHET (J095) A Badel B Thompson (NEW FUTURE FOLKS) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after the 1100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of SKY PROPHET, resulting in SKY PROPHET being checked away from NEW FUTURE FOLKS. B Thompson was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 4 December 2024 and to expire on Monday, 9 December 2024 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. Approaching the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid ANOTHER WORLD (L Hewitson) when that runner shifted to the outside of HONG LOK GOLF to obtain clear running.
