Yoshitada Munakata started his training career in 1993 and saddled his first runner on 6 March, 1993 at Nakayama Racecourse, scoring his first win in June that year. His first Group race win came in the 2001 G3 Niigata Nisai Stakes with Balance Of Game and successfully achieved back-to-back wins in that race with Wana the following year. His first G1 runner finished third for him in the 1998 Asahi Hai Sansai Stakes in 1998 but it was not until 2022 that he saddled his first G1 winner Naran Huleg in the Takamatsunomiya Kinen in March.
