A seven-time winner including on his last two starts, latterly in a G3 at Haydock. Has also won at this longer trip. Good or slow ground preferred.

Layfayette

The winner of nine of his 32 starts including with a typically tough performance to win a 2000m G3 at The Curragh last month. His ideal ground is good or slower.

Mashhoor

In great form earlier this year, with a handicap win followed by a Listed success and then a front-running victory in a 2000m G3 at The Curragh. Faded after leading in a G2 at York last time.

White Birch

A terrific performance when third in the Epsom Derby over a similar trip to this in June. Not seen since way below that in the Irish Derby at The Curragh. Now needs to restore his reputation.

Adelaide River

His second placings in G1 company over this trip on his last two starts – in the Irish Derby at The Curragh and then the Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp - surely give him a good chance in this G3.

Valiant King

Only once a winner but some good placed efforts including when quite a close second on his first run at G3 company, at Naas last month. All runs so far on good ground or slower.

Young Ireland

Has had a busy year, this being his tenth start of 2023. His second in a 2800m Listed event at this track last time was probably a career best so far. Clearly stamina is not an issue.
