Class 1 Handicap S2 - 3, 04/08/2024, Sunday Post Time 21:15

1

Bauhinia Rhapsody

Has made big strides forward this season and penalised accordingly but unbeaten in two starts at Deauville.

2

National Service

In better form earlier in the season but is dropping down in class after two unsuccessful attempts in group and listed grade.

3

Apax

Yet to win over a mile but the signs were encouraging two starts back after finishing strongly into third in class one company.

4

Harper

Has continually been in the shake up and a run of four consecutive seconds would suggest that his turn isn’t far away.

5

Half Half

Has performed well here in the past and races off the similar mark when second in this race last year.

6

Climate Change

He has been finding his feet at a lower level and justified favouritism in good style over 1800m at Clairefontaine. One to keep an eye on in the betting.

7

Chirimiri

Raised his game considerably to record a 26-1 upset win over 1400m at Vichy last time, but now called upon to defy a career high mark.

8

Saidi El Fal

Very well thought of colt (classic entry earlier in the season) and clear possibilities on his fourth behind a smart customer in Listed company.

9

We Ride The World

The nine-year-old ran a blinder when third in this last year, but his form has been patchy this term.

10

Atakama

The filly’s third in Listed class over course and distance in July makes for good reading and she looks well handicapped.

11

Short Final

The gelding didn’t get a look in at Vichy last time but enters calculations on the basis of some smart form on the Parisian circuit.

12

Lev

Last year’s fourth did well to come from last to first in class two race last time and is clearly peaking at the right time.

13

Opalus Road

Has constantly been thereabouts in class two handicaps this season but probably destined for a supporting role yet again.

14

Lord Of War

Made his early pace pay off handsomely after a rail-hugging trip at ParisLongchamp in July, giving the impression that there could be more to come.

15

Etatique

In good form during in the winter-spring period but he appears to have dropped off the pace on his last two starts.

16

Sky Power

Continues to deliver at the ripe age of seven (two wins at Chantilly in March). Has risen in the ratings and could now be in the grip of the handicapper.

17

Calas

Ran an eye-catching race when second to a future Listed winner (the pair clear) at Saint-Cloud in June. Not as effective (fourth) when stepped up to 1800m on last start but return to 1600m could see him in a better light.

18

Omicrone

Continues to be a force in sprint handicaps and attempts over a mile have been few and far between.

19

Georges Ville

He acquitted himself well (fifth) in a competitive Listed race and he could make his presence felt if stepping up on that.

20

Zvaroshka

Has found one too good on her last three starts but could sneak into a place again on current form.
