Racing Incident Report
TOP HONOR bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. DELIGHTFUL WIN began awkwardly and lost ground. In the early stages, SUGAR AND SON, which had been intended to be ridden quietly, proved difficult to settle and on a number of occasions got its head up. After crossing to the lead at the 1400 Metres, when being steadied, LUCKY MONEY proved very difficult to settle for a considerable distance and on a number of occasions got its head up. After the 1400 Metres, DELIGHTFUL WIN, which had been ridden along to make up ground, was steadied when crowded for room inside PRIME DELIGHT which was carried in by VICTORY CODE (B Prebble) which momentarily shifted in before shifting back out. In the circumstances, it was considered appropriate for B Prebble to be reprimanded. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, VICTORY STYLE got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of DELIGHTFUL WIN. After the 300 Metres, SUNNY RIVIERA was steadied and shifted to the outside of SUGAR AND SON which was giving ground. Then after the 200 Metres, SUNNY RIVIERA was shifted to the inside of PICTURE PERFECT to continue going forward. In the Straight, PRIME DELIGHT hung out, after the 200 Metres shifted out abruptly, obliging S Dye, its rider, to stop riding and straighten his mount. Then after the 100 Metres, PRIME DELIGHT again shifted out, causing S Dye to straighten his mount. In the run to the line, TOP HONOR, which was closing the race off, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLYING BISHOP. Because of this, TOP HONOR was not ridden right out to the end of the race. Throughout the race, CHATER SILK travelled wide and without cover. HONEY MONEY and PRIME DELIGHT were sent for sampling.
