Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
7 REGENT GLORY (E323) For some distance approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running between JOYFUL LIFE and HAPPY TANGO. Sent for sampling post-race.
12 HAPPY TANGO (D075) Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 EVERYONE'S VICTORY (E177) No report.
10 JOYFUL LIFE (H426) Crowded shortly after the start. Near the 200 Metres was bumped by REGENT GLORY.
5 IMPERIAL MAGEE (E460) No report.
9 STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186) No report.
1 MUST GO (J133) Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of B Avdulla, 7th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race. When questioned, B Avdulla stated that his mount jumped awkwardly which resulted in his left foot shifting in his stirrup iron. He said as a result he was obliged to re-position his foot in the stirrup iron and MUST GO settled further back than what had been intended. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
6 HINOKAMI KAGURA (H384) After the race, H Bentley reported that his mount failed to travel throughout the event and he was obliged to make use of HINOKAMI KAGURA to hold its position. Trainer J Richards reported that he had been pleased with the horse’s work leading into the race and had expected it to run well. He said the only explanation he could offer was that HINOKAMI KAGURA is still relatively inexperienced and may not have appreciated the kickback it received on today’s surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of HINOKAMI KAGURA was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, HINOKAMI KAGURA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 STREET CONQUEROR (H341) No report.
11 SPANGLE FORTUNE (G427) Bumped shortly after the start. Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108) After the race, L Ferraris reported that his mount came under pressure in the middle stages and was eased down in the Home Straight when not in a competitive position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SPEEDY SMARTIE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDY SMARTIE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
3 CIRCUIT ELEVEN (G468) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. The performance of CIRCUIT ELEVEN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CIRCUIT ELEVEN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea.
