Racing Incident Report
The explanation tendered by G Mossé regarding his being late in the Parade Ring was accepted. About the 300 Metres, ON THE TEE was checked and shifted in to avoid GOOD MAN which was weakening. At about the same time, XLERATE was momentarily disappointed for running on the outside of GOOD MAN. A Marcus (SPECIFIC SORCEROR) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)]. The careless riding being that near the 200 Metres, he allowed his mount to shift out whilst riding it along when not clear of VIPER CORP. As a result of this, VIPER CORP lost the running to which it was rightfully entitled, was crowded onto PRIME VAIN and checked. It was decided that A Marcus be suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Sunday 8 December 2002 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong race days). A Marcus made a special request that his suspension takes immediate effect, however, this request was not acceded to. The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the meeting next Wednesday 27 November 2002 at Happy Valley. O Doleuze (ON THE TEE) said in the Straight because of the trouble he was having obtaining clear running, he was not able to ride the horse out and it finished much further back than it should have done. RESOURCEFUL PRINCE, SPECIFIC SORCEROR and PRIME VAIN were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported GOOD MAN had lost its right front plate.
