Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, it was noted AFICIONADO had its tongue over the bit. The horse's tongue was repositioned prior to it being loaded. FAIRWAY FINDER, which was standing with its head turned to the right hand side, began awkwardly and knuckled. O' SHINY began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the outside gate of its stall. FIRST KNIGHT was slow to begin. At the 1000 Metres, RISING WIN was steadied away from the heels of AFICIONADO. FIRST KNIGHT, which was following, was steadied in consequence. Near the 800 Metres, MARSHALL SPIRIT, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when steadied away from the heels of BURST TO VICTORY. In the early and middle stages, from an awkward gate, SHOGUN raced in a forward position but was three wide without cover. In the middle stages, RISING WIN, which was having its first race start, raced greenly and got its head up on a number of occasions when close to the heels of AFICIONADO. After the 200 Metres, FAIRWAY FINDER became unbalanced. After the 100 Metres, FIRST KNIGHT was checked when disappointed for running inside CHINA WORLD. After this, FIRST KNIGHT did not obtain a clear run and as a result was not ridden out as it normally would be. SUPERIOR TITLE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of SUPERIOR TITLE after the race did not show any significant findings. MARSHALL SPIRIT was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, MARSHALL SPIRIT was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. AFICIONADO and CHINA WORLD were sent for sampling.
