Racing Incident Report
On leaving the Parade Ring, it was noted HANDBAG FORTUNE had blood in it mouth. After arriving at the Start, the horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said it had an injury to the left upper jaw and teeth and in his opinion was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of HANDBAG FORTUNE. Before being allowed to race again, HANDBAG FORTUNE will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. CHING HOI BOY was slow to begin, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of PREMIER EXPRESS. DAVE'S BEST began awkwardly and got its head up. On jumping, SUNNY WIN and RED FIREBALL bumped, causing both horses to become unbalanced and lose ground, and then SUNNY WIN hung in throughout the race. In the early stages, NAMJONG TREASURE hung in. At the 700 Metres, PREMIER EXPRESS became unbalanced and shifted out away from the heels of HEALTHY HEART. For some distance after this, PREMIER EXPRESS was awkwardly placed when close to the heels of HEALTHY HEART. On straightening, NOBLE ZOOM shifted out and bumped PREMIER EXPRESS. In the early part of the Straight, SHINING DRAGON hung in. In the Straight, SCINTILLATION hung in and proved difficult to ride. SWISS LAD, SCINTILLATION and DAVE'S BEST were sent for sampling.
