Racing Incident Report

On jumping, HARVEST bounded in the air and lost ground. Also on jumping, HELENE PILLAGING blundered, then near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of SENSIBLE WAY which shifted in when not quite clear. SUCCESSIVE GAINS was slow to begin. Near the 1000 Metres, OKEYDOKEY, which was racing ungenerously, became unbalanced when crowded for room inside STAY YOUNG which was momentarily carried in by GREEN DIAMOND. After this, GREEN DIAMOND immediately shifted out to relieve the pressure. For some distance after the 400 Metres, STAY YOUNG was held up and unable to obtain clear running behind SENSIBLE WAY and to the inside of GREEN DIAMOND. At the 200 Metres, STAY YOUNG was steadied when disappointed for running between SENSIBLE WAY and GREEN DIAMOND which shifted in after being brushed by HELENE PILLAGING which was momentarily crowded for room by PERFECT PARTNER which shifted in slightly. After the 200 Metres, GREEN DIAMOND, which was giving ground, was steadied away from the heels of HELENE PILLAGING which shifted in after being brushed by DANHERO which shifted to the inside of PERFECT PARTNER to continue going forward. Throughout the race, PERFECT PARTNER raced wide and without cover. R Fradd (OKEYDOKEY) explained the horse ran its race in patches and at times seemed to be reluctant to stride out. He said near the 200 Metres OKEYDOKEY appeared awkward in its action, he therefore eased the horse and when he did this OKEYDOKEY again became balanced, so he then rode his mount out to the end of the race. The explanation of R Fradd was accepted. STAY YOUNG, KIMBERLEY MINES and PERFECT PARTNER were sent for sampling.
