Racing Incident Report
DASHING WINNER was slow to begin and shortly afterwards lost its running when crowded for room between JOYFUL WINNER and PEARL OF INDIA which got its head on the side and shifted in. On jumping, BACCHUS stumbled and as a consequence was slow to muster speed. Shortly after the start, GOOD BA BA and ADD THE FUN bumped as a result of GOOD BA BA being carried wider by PROFIT HILL. Also shortly after the start, GOOD TRIO was checked when crowded for room between UPBEAT which shifted out and SHINY RIBBON which shifted in after making contact with FLYING SPRINTER. When questioned, D Whyte said he was unable to ride GOOD BA BA out as he normally would over the final 400 Metres because the horse was hanging in. The Stewards accepted D Whyte's explanation. BACCHUS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BACCHUS after the race did not show any significant findings. SHINY RIBBON and HARMONY were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported HARMONY had lost its left front plate.
