Racing Incident Report
On jumping, ACHIEVER and CLASSIC NAVIGATOR were checked when severely hampered by CLASSA FOR EVER which on jumping got its head up and shifted out abruptly. Because of this, CLASSA FOR EVER also lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, CLASSA FOR EVER will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. Shortly after the start, FANTASY and RUM SHOT were checked when crowded for room between SANZIRO which on jumping was carried in by SUCCESSOR and WINNING SUCCESS which was carried out by ALINSKY. In the early and middle stages, CLASSA FOR EVER and EGYPTIAN RA proved difficult to settle. ALINSKY made the turn at the 800 Metres awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with BRAINS TRUST. As a result, ALINSKY became unbalanced. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, WINNING SUCCESS, which was racing tight inside SUNNY SING, shifted out, made contact with SUNNY SING, became badly unbalanced and lost ground. SUNNY SING also became badly unbalanced behind. SANZIRO, which was following, was shifted out to avoid SUNNY SING while RUM SHOT was checked to avoid WINNING SUCCESS. CLASSA FOR EVER, which was following RUM SHOT, was checked in consequence. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, FIRM OFFER, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FANTASY. After the 600 Metres, RUM SHOT became unbalanced when being steadied while racing tight between WINNING SUCCESS and SANZIRO. FANTASY, which was racing outside RUM SHOT, was hampered in consequence and CLASSA FOR EVER was also inconvenienced. Near the 500 Metres, ACHIEVER, which was hanging out, was carried wider by FIRM OFFER which at this time shifted ground while hanging. After the 400 Metres, SUNNY SING, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was shifted to the inside of EGYPTIAN RA to go forward. Over the final 200 Metres, ALINSKY hung out and proved difficult to ride. At the 50 Metres, EGYPTIAN RA, which was laying in, was steadied away from the heels of ALINSKY. In the Straight BRAINS TRUST hung in and FIRM OFFER hung out. Throughout the race, CLASSIC NAVIGATOR raced wide and without cover. FIRM OFFER was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of FIRM OFFER after the race did not show any significant findings. BRAINS TRUST and ALINSKY were sent for sampling.
