Racing Incident Report

CHATER SILK began awkwardly and was then steadied away from the heels of BOLD WIN which shifted out. SING FAY FAY began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped on several occasions with AWESOME DRAGON. As a result, SING FAY FAY became unbalanced and lost ground. At the 800 Metres, CHATER SILK was steadied away from the heels of AWESOME DRAGON. For the majority of the Home Straight, SING FAY FAY was held up and as a consequence was not properly tested. DR MORE, which was following SING FAY FAY, was steadied away from the heels of that runner at the 400 Metres and then at the 350 Metres was checked and shifted out away from the heels of SING FAY FAY when that horse was being steadied away from the heels of KA KA WIN which was giving ground. Over the final 200 Metres, CHATER SILK hung out. Throughout the race, GRAND CENTRAL travelled wide and without cover. G Mossé (REGAL THRILLS) explained the intention was to be around midfield. He said however because of the manner in which the race was run, near the 1400 Metres he was not able to maintain a midfield position when SING FAY FAY continued to race off the fence and COURAGEOUSHEART came back to race outside that horse. He said as a consequence REGAL THRILLS travelled further back than expected. NOBLE HEART was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of NOBLE HEART after the race did not show any significant findings. REGAL THRILLS, WINNING BULLET and MASTER MARAUDER were sent for sampling.
