Racing Incident Report
When being led to the saddling stalls from the holding area, TREMENDOUS PLUS broke free from its attendant. TREMENDOUS PLUS was quickly recaptured and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. RIVER TANGO proved difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, RIVER TANGO will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. AMAZING CHOICE began awkwardly and got its head up. TREMENDOUS PLUS was slow to begin. With the intention of being ridden with cover, BRAVE COMMANDER after beginning well was steadied. Near the 1200 Metres, AMAZING CHOICE was steadied away from the heels of WONDERFUL BLESSING when racing tight inside HAPPY MASTER which itself was racing tight inside TREMENDOUS PLUS which after being ridden along to make ground commenced to race greenly and shifted in away from TIRAMISU. In the circumstances, no action was taken. After this, TREMENDOUS PLUS continued to race greenly, on a number of occasions shifted ground and near the 900 Metres shifted in away from GOLDEN WIN when not clear of HAPPY MASTER, resulting in HAPPY MASTER clipping the heels of TREMENDOUS PLUS and blundering. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Prior to straightening, VITAL PATROL became unbalanced and blundered when awkwardly placed between RIVER TANGO and BRAVE COMMANDER. In the early part of the Straight, HAPPY MASTER, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was shifted wider. Also in the early part of the Straight, WONDERFUL BLESSING had difficulty obtaining clear running between FRONTIER and TIRAMISU. Then approaching and passing the 200 Metres, WONDERFUL BLESSING again had difficulty obtaining clear running and at the 150 Metres was steadied when disappointed for running between TIRAMISU and CARE FREE PRINCE which was giving ground. At the 100 Metres, AMAZING CHOICE, which was hanging in, became unbalanced when crowded for room between TREMENDOUS PLUS which shifted in slightly and TIRAMISU which shifted out after making contact with WONDERFUL BLESSING. For the major part of the race, RIVER TANGO hung out, made the Home Turn awkwardly, causing SPICY HOT which had been racing wide and without cover to be carried wider. HAPPY MASTER and TREMENDOUS PLUS were sent for sampling.
