Racing Incident Report

Prior to the race, the Stewards interviewed Trainer L Ho regarding GOOD PARTNER’s track work in the lead up to today’s race. He said that GOOD PARTNER, which was having its first start for his stable today, has a history of leg problems and for this reason he had restricted the horse’s work in the lead up to today’s race. However, he did say that, in his opinion, whilst GOOD PARTNER would derive benefit from the run, the horse was fit enough to be competitive in today’s race. The Stewards noted Mr Ho’s comments. On arrival at the barriers, the tongue tie fitted to GOOD PARTNER was replaced. Whilst behind the barriers, LOMBARDI became fractious, resulting in O Doleuze being dislodged. LOMBARDI was quickly recaptured and took its place in the field. As the start was effected, SUPREME WIN reared, then stood flat-footed and lost a considerable amount of ground. As a result of this, SUPREME WIN tailed out throughout the race. Before being allowed to race again, SUPREME WIN will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. B Prebble was warned regarding comments he directed towards the Starter after SUPREME WIN left the barrier stalls. RARE TREASURE began awkwardly and lost ground. Throughout the race, BROTHERS IN ARMS travelled wide and without cover. ROYAL FLUSH and LOMBARDI were sent for sampling.
