Racing Incident Report

Prior to the start being effected, EL VALIENTE put its head down. As the start was effected, EL VALIENTE began awkwardly, resulting in its rider M L Yeung’s left foot slipping out of the iron which he was able to regather a short distance after the start. When EL VALIENTE began awkwardly, it shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of LUCKY DIAMOND.
LONDON LUCKYSTAR shifted out at the start and inconvenienced SMART FOLKS.
DRAGON COMMANDER shifted out at the start and bumped V CHEVALIERS. Then from wide barriers, DRAGON COMMANDER and V CHEVALIERS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From the outside barrier, PIANO SOLO was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
STRIVE FOR GLORY began only fairly and then approaching the winning post on the first occasion was inconvenienced when racing tight between TAKE WHAT YOU NEED and LADY FIRST.
Making the turn after passing the winning post on the first occasion, LONDON LUCKYSTAR momentarily raced in restricted room between SMART FOLKS and INCREDIBLE which was awkwardly placed outside the heels of TAKE WHAT YOU NEED.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, PIANO SOLO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of STRIVE FOR GLORY.
After the 1100 Metres, INCREDIBLE was left racing wide and without cover.
LONDON LUCKYSTAR travelled wide and without cover after the 1000 Metres.
Near the 550 Metres, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED, which was giving ground, was momentarily steadied when crowded for room between LONDON LUCKYSTAR and LUCKY DIAMOND which shifted out when bumped by OH BRAVO which improved into tight running inside LUCKY DIAMOND.
Near the 150 Metres, DRAGON COMMANDER was shifted out away from the heels of EL VALIENTE which shifted out under pressure.
The performances of STRIVE FOR GLORY, V CHEVALIERS, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED and INCREDIBLE, all of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, STRIVE FOR GLORY, V CHEVALIERS, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED and INCREDIBLE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of TAKE WHAT YOU NEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of SMART FOLKS immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a minor laceration to the left hind leg.
SUPER FAST and EL VALIENTE were sent for sampling.
<28/6/2021 Additional Veterinary Reports>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that INCREDIBLE was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. As previously advised, INCREDIBLE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
