Racing Incident Report
DR WINNING began awkwardly.
LOYAL BABY lost its right hind plate on jumping.
HYPERION TREE shifted out at the start and bumped PACKING FAMOUS which was crowded for room inside AMAZING NEWS. PACKING FAMOUS and AMAZING NEWS were then badly crowded for room between LOYAL BABY and HYPERION TREE which was then taken out by TRAVEL GLORY. In this incident, AMAZING NEWS stumbled when taken out across the heels of LOYAL BABY.
From the outside barriers, MR ALDAN, CHARIZARD and SUPER ELEGANCE were all steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 1350 Metres, MR ALDAN was momentarily crowded for room inside HYPERION TREE which got its head on the side and lay in. As HYPERION TREE was directed out to relieve the crowding to MR ALDAN, CHARIZARD, which was following, was hampered and taken wider.
Making the turn near the 600 Metres, SUPER ELEGANCE was bumped and taken wider by AMAZING NEWS which, when improving to the outside of DR WINNING, was taken out by that horse which itself shifted to the outside of PACKING FAMOUS.
Approaching the 150 Metres, GLORIOUS LOVER was directed to the inside of TRAVEL GLORY to obtain clear running.
Passing the 150 Metres, TRAVEL GLORY raced tight outside the heels of LOYAL BABY (B Shinn) which shifted out under pressure. Then approaching the 50 Metres, TRAVEL GLORY raced in restricted room between EVER LAUGH and LOYAL BABY which continued to shift out. LOYAL BABY was then shifted in to relieve the tightening to TRAVEL GLORY. When LOYAL BABY was shifted in, GLORIOUS LOVER, which was improving inside that horse, was taken in, resulting in SWOT TROOPERS WIND being crowded for room close to the finishing line. B Shinn was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances and make every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground.
Passing the 50 Metres, PACKING FAMOUS and HYPERION TREE brushed.
Close to the finishing line, TRAVEL GLORY and EVER LAUGH raced tight.
A veterinary inspection of CHARIZARD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DR WINNING and GLORIOUS LOVER were sent for sampling.
