Racing Incident Report

GLORIOUS STARLIGHT, which was fractious in the barriers, began only fairly and then shifted in on jumping towards the heels of GINSON which also shifted out.
WE ARE HERO stumbled on jumping.
EQUALETTA BLITZ lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began only fairly.
COMING PATCH was slow to begin.
BRILLIANT PIONEER began only fairly and shifted out towards the heels of ALCARI.
Approaching the 600 Metres, COMING PATCH raced tight outside WAR WEAPON which was taken out marginally by BRILLIANT PIONEER which itself was awkwardly placed outside the heels of WE ARE HERO. After this, WAR WEAPON got its head on the side and lay out, resulting in COMING PATCH continuing to race in restricted room outside that horse.
Approaching the 250 Metres, CORDYCEPS SIX commenced to lay out, resulting in WILD WEST WING being momentarily shifted out away from the heels of that horse. CORDYCEPS SIX then hung out under pressure passing the 200 Metres.
Approaching the 50 Metres, WHIZZ KID shifted in away from ALCARI towards the heels of CORDYCEPS SIX (B Shinn) which also continued to shift out. Whilst the Stewards accepted that WHIZZ KID had shifted in at this time towards the heels of CORDYCEPS SIX, nonetheless B Shinn was told to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground even in difficult circumstances.
The performance of GLORIOUS STARLIGHT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GLORIOUS STARLIGHT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of GLORIOUS STARLIGHT immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a minor laceration to the left hind fetlock.
WHIZZ KID, CORDYCEPS SIX and ALCARI were sent for sampling.
