Racing Incident Report

On two occasions when parading behind the barriers, JADE PHOENIX got its tongue over the bit which required rectifying on both occasions.
SOARING TOWER was slow to begin.
EMBARKED began awkwardly and then was crowded for room between SCIENCE PATCH which was taken out by WAR EAGLE and LUCK STAR which shifted in.
MOONLUCK shifted in at the start and was very awkwardly placed close to the heels of COUNTRY BOY. Then from the outside barriers, COUNTRY BOY and MOONLUCK were both shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the early stages, from a wide barrier, SOLAR PARTNER was steadied to obtain cover.
SCIENCE PATCH made the turn near the 900 Metres awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of SOLAR PARTNER. WAR EAGLE, which was following SCIENCE PATCH, was awkwardly placed behind that horse in consequence.
SCIENCE PATCH was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and when improving into tight running between CIRCUIT SPIRITANTO and JADE PHOENIX raced tight outside LUCKY MARYKNOLL.
SOARING TOWER was also held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Approaching the 200 Metres, LUCKY MARYKNOLL was shifted to the outside of JADE PHOENIX.
Throughout the race, SMART FOLKS travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of SOARING TOWER, JADE PHOENIX and LUCKY MARYKNOLL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
COUNTRY BOY and SOLAR PARTNER were sent for sampling.
<4/2/2022 Additional Veterinary Reports>LUCKY MARYKNOLL, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. LUCKY MARYKNOLL was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D A Hayes this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY MARYKNOLL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
