Racing Incident Report
DASHING GLORY, which was leaning on the left side of its barrier, jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
RIGHTEOUS ARION brushed with A AMERIC TE SPECSO on jumping.
CALL ME TEDDY jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped RATTAN KINGDOM.
CORDYCEPS ONE, which was standing awkwardly in the barriers, also jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
From the outside barriers, INSPIRING CITY and VALHALLA were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn approaching the 1000 Metres, A AMERIC TE SPECSO was checked when crowded between BRILLIANT LIFE (H Bentley) which, when racing ungenerously, shifted in abruptly before being corrected by its rider and RIGHTEOUS ARION (C Y Ho) which shifted out when making the turn awkwardly. The Stewards were satisfied that both H Bentley and C Y Ho had taken the necessary actions to endeavour to correct their mounts and therefore no further action was taken against either rider.
Due to the moderate pace in the middle stages, RIGHTEOUS ARION and RATTAN KINGDOM both raced keenly.
BRILLIANT LIFE raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and in the middle stages raced fiercely and refused to settle.
VALHALLA hung out on the Home Turn.
Near the 250 Metres, CORDYCEPS ONE was steadied when crowded by DASHING GLORY (H T Mo) which shifted in when racing greenly and away from RIGHTEOUS ARION. H T Mo was reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he should stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than he did on this occasion.
SON PAK FU lay in over the final 200 Metres and near the 150 Metres shifted in and brushed ISLAND SURPRISE. Then over the concluding stages, ISLAND SURPRISE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SON PAK FU.
RIGHTEOUS ARION, SON PAK FU and ISLAND SURPRISE were sent for sampling.
