1 2 HOLY LAKE (H260) After the 250 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running to the outside of RIVER VIEWS and then was shifted back to that runner’s inside where it secured clear running at the 150 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 9 GOLDEN BULL (H019) Crowded at the start. From the 400 Metres until the 250 Metres was badly held up for clear running before being shifted to the outside of MEEPMEEP. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 RIVER VIEWS (G212) No report.
4 8 FREE FOAL (E065) No report.
5 5 IMPERIAL MAGEE (E460) Apprentice E C W Wong (RIVER VIEWS) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that inside the final 50 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of IMPERIAL MAGEE, resulting in IMPERIAL MAGEE being checked away from the heels of RIVER VIEWS. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 10 December 2023 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record.
6 11 YEABOI (G372) Slow to begin. From the 350 Metres until the 200 Metres was held up for clear running. Approaching the 150 Metres was then steadied when crowded between FREE FOAL which shifted out slightly and HOLY LAKE (C Y Ho) which shifted in. C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care.
7 6 MEEPMEEP (H234) Jumped only fairly. When questioned, Z Purton stated that at its first race start MEEPMEEP raced greenly and lay out in the Home Straight after making an inside run. He said today from the 600 Metres his mount hung in and on the Home Turn proved reluctant to shift to the outside of CHILLI BABA. He added that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight MEEPMEEP continued to hang in which restricted his ability to fully test his mount, particularly when it was racing on the wrong lead leg. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The racing manners of MEEPMEEP were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MEEPMEEP will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 1 KA YING CHEER (H369) Shifted in at the start, became unbalanced and bumped on the hindquarters. After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount to cross and lead on KA YING CHEER and as a result KA YING CHEER was left without a finishing effort. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 3 CHILLI BABA (G339) No report.
10 4 DREAM PURSUER (G241) Badly crowded on jumping by KA YING CHEER which shifted in abruptly. Steadied after the 250 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 14 PERFECT PEACH (E488) No report.
12 13 DRAGON DELIGHT (G395) After the 250 Metres, DRAGON DELIGHT and DREAM PURSUER were steadied when crowded between CHILLI BABA (A Atzeni) which shifted in and IMPERIAL MAGEE (A Badel) which shifted out and away from HOLY LAKE as that runner commenced to shift to the outside of RIVER VIEWS. Both A Atzeni and A Badel were advised to exercise more care.
13 7 FOREVER FOLKS (G463) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
14 12 KING OF THE COURT (E384) From the 900 Metres was obliged to race wide and without cover when taken out by RIVER VIEWS.
