1 9 JAMES TAK (J007) Bumped on jumping. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 14 SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097) On 16 December 2023, the Stewards approved for A Hamelin to be substituted as the rider of SPEEDY FORTUNE as B Avdulla was unable to make the weight. Having regard to the circumstances of this case, the Stewards accepted B Avdulla’s explanation, however, he was advised, wherever possible, he should provide notice of his unavailability as soon as possible. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 11 PATCH OF THETA (H485) Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the right side of its barrier.
4 10 LOYAL BO BO (J011) Jumped awkwardly. Near the 700 Metres commenced to race keenly and was shifted to the inside of SPEEDY FORTUNE into doubtful running. A short distance latter, LOYAL BO BO was checked when disappointed for clear running between SPEEDY FORTUNE and FALCON COURT which was taken out slightly by HAYDAY (M Chadwick). M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care. The Stewards found that the racing manners of LOYAL BO BO had significantly contributed to the interference suffered by that runner when it improved into a doubtful run. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 13 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) Approaching the 200 Metres was directed to the inside of SUPER AXIOM to continue into clear running.
6 4 HAYDAY (H321) No report.
7 5 SUPER COMMANDER (D350) Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and was bumped.
8 1 RED ELEGANCE (H241) No report.
9 8 GLORY B (H373) Slow to begin. Near the 400 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from FALCON COURT.
10 3 MULTISUPER (G416) As the start was effected lowered its head and as a result lost ground. After the race, J McDonald stated that after settling back in the field, MULTISUPER finished the race off only fairly and was disadvantaged by losing ground at the start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 7 FALCON COURT (J056) For a short distance approaching the 250 Metres was held up behind RED ELEGANCE.
12 2 SUPER AXIOM (E105) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
13 6 DASH AVENUE (H327) Slow to begin. After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the event and when he felt that there was something amiss with the horse, he eased it down over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer”. The performance of DASH AVENUE was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DASH AVENUE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
14 12 TOURBILLON FLOW (J061) The performance of TOURBILLON FLOW, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, TOURBILLON FLOW will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV HAPPY MISSION (H050) Withdrawn on 15.12.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen right front leg) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter HAYDAY. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY MISSION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
