2 9 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 1 JAMES TAK (J007) Jumped awkwardly and blundered shortly after the start. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 11 CHILLI BABA (G339) Passing the 400 Metres blundered.
5 8 LESS IS MORE (H406) Jumped awkwardly. For some distance near the 350 Metres was held up behind CHILLI BABA. Over the final 200 Metres lay in.
6 14 TIMESTORM (G109) Was contacted on the rump by DEEP PURSUIT when that runner was fractious in the barriers. Removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Approaching the 50 Metres was steadied when crowded by CHILLI BABA (Apprentice Y L Chung) which shifted out. Apprentice Chung was advised to exercise more care.
7 10 WINNING GOLD (H461) Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
8 7 HERO WARRIOR (J006) No report.
9 3 RED ELEGANCE (H241) Shifted in at the start and was bumped. After the race, B Avdulla reported that when placed under pressure his mount did not respond to his riding and he had some concern with its action. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, RED ELEGANCE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 4 SPARKLING DOLPHIN (C332) Jumped awkwardly and blundered shortly after the start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 12 VALIANT ELEGANCE (D285) Bumped near the 250 Metres.
12 13 UNIVERSAL PURSUIT (H286) Bumped shortly after the start. Lay out throughout the event and near the 250 Metres shifted out and away from RED ELEGANCE and as a result made contact with VALIANT ELEGANCE. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV-A 2 METRO WARRIOR (D387) After being loaded into the starting gates became fractious, reared and struck its head on the barrier partition. Removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, METRO WARRIOR was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, METRO WARRIOR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
WV-A 6 DEEP PURSUIT (H288) After being loaded into the starting gates became fractious, reared and became cast for a considerable period. Removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, DEEP PURSUIT was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
