6 1 GRAND NOVA (J323) J McDonald No report. <3/3/2025 Additional Veterinary Report> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that GRAND NOVA was lame in its right front leg on the day after racing. Before being allowed to race again, GRAND NOVA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
13 2 MULTISUPER (G416) D McDonogh Prior to declaring weighed-in, the Stewards gave consideration as to whether MULTISUPER had been afforded a fair start. After taking evidence from Jockey D McDonogh, Trainer T P Yung and Starter Mr A Speechley, the Stewards found that as the start was effected the starting gate handler attempted to straighten the horse’s head to allow it to jump with the field. As he did so, MULTISUPER lowered its head, resulting in the horse jumping awkwardly and losing ground. As the Stewards were satisfied that such occurrence occurred as the start was being effected, MULTISUPER was declared a runner. The Stewards ruled that MULTISUPER will be required to attend barrier practice to the satisfaction of the Starter prior to performing satisfactorily in consecutive barrier trials before being allowed to race again.
