6 2 EN PERFECTO (J409) A Badel Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
4 3 TRADITION (J111) H Bentley Approaching the 1400 Metres became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of SOLAR GOGO which shifted in and away from HARRY’S HERO. Was left racing wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.
5 4 CALIFORNIA MOXIE (J131) H Bowman Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Near the 300 Metres shifted in slightly, made contact with VERBIER and became unbalanced. When commencing to give ground near the 50 Metres shifted in slightly and made contact with WINDICATOR FAMILY when that runner shifted out under pressure slightly. After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount was able to obtain a position outside the lead in the early stages but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 5 MILES AWAY (J221) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly. Approaching the 200 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of SOLAR GOGO to continue into clear running. After the event, B Avdulla stated that his mount did not travel well during the race and did not run on in the Home Straight.
7 6 SKYEY BLUE (J212) K C Leung Crowded shortly after the start.
9 7 SOLAR GOGO (H390) C L Chau (-2) Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide and without cover until near the 700 Metres.
1 8 WINDICATOR FAMILY (H419) M F Poon After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between CALIFORNIA MOXIE and SOLAR GOGO, both of which shifted ground slightly. Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 9 HARRY'S HERO (H332) B Thompson When caught wide in the early stages was shifted across behind runners.
3 11 VERBIER (J187) L Ferraris Made the Home Turn awkwardly, shifted out and brushed with CALIFORNIA MOXIE. Near the 300 Metres CALIFORNIA MOXIE and VERBIER made contact due to both runners shifting ground, resulting in VERBIER becoming unbalanced. After the event, L Ferraris confirmed that from the outside barrier and with his mount stepping up in distance he was instructed to ride it in a forward position. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued and said VERBIER had performed well in its most recent barrier trials when ridden in the lead.
WV-A 10 MR ALADDIN (H386) J Orman After being placed in the starting gates reared and got its right front leg over the front gates for some period of time. Acting on veterinary advice that MR ALADDIN was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. The Stewards ruled that MR ALADDIN will be required to attend barrier practice to the satisfaction of the Starter prior to performing satisfactorily in a barrier trial and being subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
WV 12 SUPERB MOVE (G304) K Teetan Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left hind cannon injury). Before being allowed to race again, SUPERB MOVE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

7 5 SPARKLING FELLOW (K175) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, B Avdulla reported that leaving the 600 Metres his mount shifted out and became unbalanced when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of SAL. He added that near the 350 Metres his mount again became unbalanced when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of HEROIC MASTER and as a result lost ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The racing manners of SPARKLING FELLOW were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SPARKLING FELLOW will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong from an inside barrier and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Near the 250 Metres was briefly held up when obtaining a tight run between MY INTELLIGENT and VIGOR ELLEEGANT which shifted in and away from LUCKY BLESSING. Leaving the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded between MY INTELLIGENT and LUCKY BLESSING which, after being taken in by MY DAY MY WAY (C L Chau), then shifted in and away from that runner slightly. C L Chau was reprimanded and advised he must stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than what he did on this occasion.

11 7 BRAVE JOY (J307) R Kingscote Near the 600 Metres was eased to avoid BEAUTY THUNDER (A Hamelin) which shifted in when not clear. A Hamelin was reprimanded.
4 8 GOOD PROSPECT (J406) K C Leung Approaching the 300 Metres was held up when it lay in and was reluctant to shift to the outside of MY DAY MY WAY. As a result, GOOD PROSPECT was held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres. GOOD PROSPECT continued to lay in when placed under pressure over the final 200 Metres. After the event, K C Leung reported that his mount shifted in on jumping, made contact with the right side of its barrier and lost ground. He added that this resulted in his foot shifting in his right stirrup and near the 150 Metres he was obliged to reposition his foot in his stirrup using his right hand.
10 9 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) E C W Wong (-7) On jumping was bumped by GOOD PROSPECT. When questioned, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that from a wide barrier his instructions were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said when complying with his instructions approaching the 1000 Metres YOUNG HORIZON got its head up and was eased when racing in restricted room to the inside of GOOD PROSPECT. When questioned regarding his riding making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Home Straight Apprentice Wong stated that when he observed NEVER TOO SOON shift out on the Home Turn he then immediately elected to shift to that runner’s inside to obtain clear running. He said as he was improving to the inside of NEVER TOO SOON that runner shifted in, resulting in YOUNG HORIZON being taken in and being held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres. He added near the 200 Metres his mount then became held up behind MY INTELLIGENT and after being crowded by NEVER TOO SOON near the 100 Metres did not obtain clear running thereafter. The Stewards found the tactics adopted by Apprentice Wong were reasonable in the circumstances.
12 10 VIGOR ELLEEGANT (J375) M F Poon On jumping made contact with NEVER TOO SOON and became unbalanced. After the event, M F Poon reported that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to lead and as a result VIGOR ELLEEGANT did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea and also found the horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. 7 2 RED MAJESTY (E028) H Bowman Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of H Bowman, 7th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race.

When commencing to give ground approaching the 250 Metres lay in and was steadied away from RED MAJESTY which shifted out slightly. After the event, K Teetan advised that his instructions were to take up a forward position. He added that, in his opinion, PANDA LEGEND was not suited by him having to make use of his mount in the early stages to comply with his instructions which resulted in PANDA LEGEND giving ground in the Home Straight. Trainer W Y So confirmed the instructions and said he issued such instructions to allow PANDA LEGEND to follow RED MAJESTY across to offset the wide barrier as RED MAJESTY was an expected on-pace runner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

He said entering the Back Straight when he was of the opinion the pace of the event was not genuine he elected to allow M UNICORN to commence a forward move near the 800 Metres which resulted in M UNICORN being able to obtain the lead near the 600 Metres and sustaining its run to win the event. 11 9 PRAWNS ELEVEN (J140) H Bentley Near the 900 Metres improved to the inside of GALLANT VALOUR and shortly afterwards was steadied when momentarily crowded by GALLANT VALOUR which shifted in. PRAWNS ELEVEN then raced keenly for some distance thereafter. After the event, H Bentley stated that his mount was unable to cross runners to its inside in the early stages and as a result settled further back than what he had anticipated. He added that in the Home Straight PRAWNS ELEVEN did not respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, PRAWNS ELEVEN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued and stated that FULL CREDIT was disappointing in its failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. 4 9 GUSTOSISIMO (J303) B Avdulla Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Apprentice E C W Wong (HARMONY N BLESSED) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1000 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of BRAVE STAR, resulting in BRAVE STAR being taken in onto GUSTOSISIMO, resulting in GUSTOSISIMO being badly crowded for room, becoming unbalanced and making contact with STELLAR EXPRESS, also resulting in STELLAR EXPRESS being crowded for room. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 30 March 2025 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
10 10 STELLAR EXPRESS (J186) B Thompson Shortly after the start was crowded between SUPERB CAPITALIST and SON PAK FU, both of which shifted ground slightly. Near the 1000 Metres was crowded between GUSTOSISIMO and BUNDLE OF CHARM. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the running of Race 3, the track classification was officially changed from "Good” to "Good to Firm”. This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective. As a consequence of this, the official results will show Races 1 to 3 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm”.
