Racing Incident Report
DR MORE left the gates awkwardly, shifted out and caused some inconvenience to MENTOR. On jumping, NEVER SAY NEVER and LUCKY NUMBER came together. In the early stages, FORTUNE MAKER proved very difficult to settle and raced with its head up. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, RED DEVIL hung out badly. About the 300 Metres, LUCKY NUMBER was checked when disappointed for running between LASER PRIDE and DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL. The occurrence was accidental. Before the 200 Metres, NEVER SAY NEVER, which was improving, was steadied and shifted in to avoid RED DEVIL which was hanging out. Just after the 200 Metres, COMME D'HABITUDE shifted in and brushed FLAMENCO STAR. In the Straight, GALLANT HORSE hung out. GALLANT HORSE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, Apprentice Y T Cheng reported that he was concerned with the action of DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL behind. DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said he was unable to find any abnormalities.
