Racing Incident Report

After being boxed, DANSWINNER became fractious, kicked out and momentarily had its near side hind foot caught on the rail of the back gate. DANSWINNER was released from the stalls, trotted up and after the Veterinary Surgeon had the necessary consultations he said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. On jumping, CHIU CHOW BROTHER and PRECISION came together. About the 600 Metres, GREAT DRAGON, which was giving ground quickly, became unbalanced when racing tight inside SUNSEEN which itself was tight inside ROYAL MAJESTY. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, CHIU CHOW BROTHER hung out. After the 400 Metres, CHIU CHOW BROTHER became momentarily unbalanced, shifted ground and near the 300 Metres, S King (CHIU CHOW BROTHER) dropped his near side rein. When asked about the disappointing performance of ROYAL MAJESTY, W Woods said the horse had worked well in the lead up to today's race, went into the race well and was expected to run well by the stable. He said ROYAL MAJESTY enjoyed a good run in the race, but over the concluding stages did not respond as expected and generally speaking very disappointing. He was unable to submit any real reason for the disappointing run. Before being allowed to race again, ROYAL MAJESTY will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. ROYAL MAJESTY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
