Racing Incident Report
LEGEND OF VELOCITY missed the start very badly, then became unbalanced and shifted out abruptly. EVERWELL FOREVER came out awkwardly with its head up. On jumping, from an outside gate, METRO FLYER was immediately steadied and shifted towards the rail into a position at the rear. About the 600 Metres, EASTERN TYCOON was struck in the face by a clod. After hitting EASTERN TYCOON in the face, it then struck F Coetzee on the helmet. Just after the 400 Metres, CHUK WAY was steadied when momentarily disappointed for running between GOLDEN BELL and ABSOLUTE. Approaching the 200 Metres, CHUK WAY was steadied and shifted out to find running. About the 200 Metres, EVERWELL FOREVER was checked and disappointed for running between WISHES which shifted out slightly and ABSOLUTE which shifted in slightly. After the incident near the 200 Metres, WISHES was shifted in to avoid causing further crowding, was then held up for running between FOREVER GOLD and EASTERN TYCOON. Then near the winning post, WISHES was shifted to the inside of EASTERN TYCOON in an endeavour to find running. However, from about the 200 Metres where the crowding occurred until the winning post, WISHES did not have clear running and as a consequence was not properly tested out. About 50 Metres out, CHUK WAY was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running between GOLDEN BELL and METRO FLYER which was inclined to be hanging in. WISHES was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, it was noted TWIN WIZARDS had lost its off side front plate. Following the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said LEGEND OF VELOCITY was in an abnormally distressed condition. Before being allowed to race again, LEGEND OF VELOCITY will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
