Racing Incident Report
The start was considerably delayed as BOLD'N POWER after being boxed became very fractious. Before BOLD'N POWER can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily on two successive occasions in official barrier trials. After arriving at the starting gates, it was noted BUDDIES POWER was bleeding from the mouth as a result of having loosened a tooth. The Veterinary Surgeon said the matter did not appear to be affecting the horse in any way and in his opinion it was suitable to race. After the race, BUDDIES POWER was examined. It was noted the horse had sustained a minor laceration to its mouth. After being boxed, WINNING STREAK became fractious and reared. The horse was released from the starting gates, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race. However, before WINNING STREAK can race again, it must perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. BUDDIES POWER left the gates very awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and bumped FORTUNE ROAD. BACCHUS left the gates awkwardly, shifted out, then hung out badly throughout. MAJOR BEE jumped awkwardly, shifted ground and bumped SUPREME MOLLY which in turn shifted ground and made contact with AMAZING VICTORY. Just after the start, FORTUNE ROAD was checked when crowded between MANIFEST and BUDDIES POWER which was shifting ground because of BACCHUS hanging. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Throughout the race, SILENT WITNESS hung in. PERFECT SPORT was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, PERFECT SPORT was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. The performance of PERFECT SPORT was considered to be unacceptable. Before the horse will be allowed to race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in two successive official barrier trials and must pass an official veterinary examination. SILENT WITNESS and AMAZING VICTORY were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted that MANIFEST had sustained a laceration to its mouth.
