Racing Incident Report

VENGEANCE OF RAIN and CHIU CHOW BROTHER were slow to begin. STAR PRODIGY began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. THUNDER STORM began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped MY CHOICE. Near the 1300 Metres, STAR PRODIGY was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GALLANT KNIGHT. Near the 700 Metres, VENGEANCE OF RAIN was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of STAR PRODIGY. Shortly after straightening, MY CHOICE was shifted to the inside of SOLID CONTACT to obtain clear running. In the early part of the Straight, DENDRANTHEMA LOVE hung in. For some distance after the 400 Metres, CALIFORNIA BISHOP was held up and unable to obtain clear running inside THUNDER STORM which when giving ground hung in. Near the 200 Metres, CHIU CHOW BROTHER was steadied when disappointed for running between THUNDER STORM and VENGEANCE OF RAIN, both of which shifted ground. After the 200 Metres, CALIFORNIA BISHOP, which again was held up for running, was steadied and shifted to the outside of SOLID CONTACT. Over the concluding stages, GALLANT KNIGHT was held up and unable to obtain clear running between VENGEANCE OF RAIN and DAVE'S BEST. Because of this, GALLANT KNIGHT was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. Also over the concluding stages, DAVE'S BEST (D Whyte) and KINGFIELD (J Holder) raced tight and because of this J Holder was unable to ride his mount out as he normally would after his whip near the 30 Metres became entangled behind D Whyte. BUMPER BUMPER and MY CHOICE were sent for sampling.
