Racing Incident Report

Shortly after the start, AMSTERDAM and OCEAN TRANQUIL were checked when crowded for room between ADD THE FUN which got its head on the side and shifted in and CELEBRATION which was carried out by HAPPY KID. As a consequence, OCEAN TRANQUIL lost ground. After the 800 Metres, DIAMOND ERA was checked away from the heels of GALLANT FALCON. NOBLE SILENCE, which was following, was steadied in consequence. Approaching the Home Turn, OCEAN TRANQUIL was crowded for room when awkwardly placed between GALLANT FALCON and AMSTERDAM. Approaching the 400 Metres, GALLANT FALCON was steadied when awkwardly placed between CELEBRATION and AWESOME DRAGON which was giving ground. For a short distance after straightening, NOBLE SILENCE was held up and unable to improve when following OCEAN TRANQUIL. Approaching the passing the 200 Metres, PICTURE PERFECT shifted wider on the track, causing HAPPY KID to be carried wider. Near the 200 Metres, GALLANT FALCON, which was closing the race off fairly, was checked and shifted out when disappointed for running inside FLORAL PRINCE. After the 100 Metres, NOBLE SILENCE was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of ADD THE FUN. In the Straight, AMSTERDAM hung in and proved difficult to ride. Throughout the race, ADD THE FUN travelled wide and without cover. S K Sit (FLORAL PRINCE) reported that his saddle shifted to the left side shortly after straightening. O Doleuze (VISIONNAIRE) explained when the gates opened the horse, which has a light mouth, got its head up. He said after this he shifted VISIONNAIRE across behind runners to the fence. He said the horse was then due to the tempo of the race not able to stay on the back of the field. He said approaching the Home Turn VISIONNAIRE made ground and in the Straight finished the race off fairly. He said the manner in which the race was run suited horses which finished from rearward positions. VISIONNAIRE and AWESOME DRAGON were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of VISIONNAIRE after the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, AWESOME DRAGON was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said there were no significant findings except the horse had lost its left front plate. CELEBRATION, AMSTERDAM and ADD THE FUN were sent for sampling.
