Racing Incident Report

MAKE IT was crowded for room on jumping between JADE PIPPO and HIGH RETURN which shifted in. After this, MAKE IT was taken across behind runners.
DOMINEER began only fairly and then was ridden along vigorously to obtain a forward position.
A short distance after the start, YEUNG SING was shifted in across the heels of FAY DEEP which shifted out after being bumped by FLASHING GUY.
Passing the 1100 Metres, CAPITAL K was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HIGH RETURN when being steadied to obtain a position with cover closer to the rail.
After the 900 Metres, FLASHING GUY got its head on the side and lay in.
Also after the 900 Metres, HIGH RETURN was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 500 Metres, MAKE IT got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FAY DEEP.
Passing the 300 Metres, FAY DEEP was shifted out after being disappointed for running inside KIDS AND WIN which was shifted to the inside of MISTER MARC.
Passing the 250 Metres, HAPPY HOMING and HIGH RETURN bumped due to both horses shifting ground slightly.
Approaching the 150 Metres, JADE PIPPO was steadied when crowded for room between NAZAKAT’S LAD and FLASHING GUY (B Prebble) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. After this, JADE PIPPO raced tight between NAZAKAT’S LAD and FLASHING GUY which continued to get its head on the side and lay in. Then over the concluding stages, JADE PIPPO and NAZAKAT’S LAD were crowded for room between MISTER MARC which shifted out slightly and FLASHING GUY which continued to lay in and prove difficult to ride. B Prebble was severely reprimanded and advised that whilst FLASHING GUY’s racing manners had played a large part in this incident, nonetheless he has a duty of care to ensure he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground.
Both KIDS AND WIN and FAY DEEP were unable to obtain clear running over about the final 150 Metres and because of this neither horse was able to be tested.
DOMINEER, YEUNG SING and CAPITAL K were sent for sampling.
