Racing Incident Report

Passing the 200 Metres, MR MEDICI and CRACKERJACK bumped as a result of MR MEDICI shifting out under pressure. In this incident, CRACKERJACK became unbalanced.
Near the 150 Metres, BUBBLE CHIC was shifted to the inside of LUCKY FOREVER after being disappointed for running between that horse and ALBICELESTE.
Near the 50 Metres, IT HAS TO BE YOU shifted out after being brushed by CRACKERJACK.
Throughout the race, CHATER DREAM travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned, K McEvoy stated that it had been intended for CRACKERJACK, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley tonight, to be ridden in about a midfield position if possible. He said CRACKERJACK brushed the outside of its gate and then made contact with BANKSTERS BONUS shortly after the start which resulted in CRACKERJACK not beginning as well as had been hoped. He said near the 1700 Metres he rode CRACKERJACK along in an attempt to maintain a position inside IT HAS TO BE YOU, however, that horse was clearly travelling better than CRACKERJACK and as he did not want to be taken to the rail, he elected to steady his mount and allowed IT HAS TO BE YOU to cross so that CRACKERJACK could maintain a position one horse off the fence. He said this resulted in CRACKERJACK racing slightly further back in the field than had been intended.
A veterinary inspection of NOBLE DELUXE and CHATER DREAM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BUBBLE CHIC, SUNNY YING and LUCKY FOREVER were sent for sampling.
<5/12/2013 Additional Veterinary Report> The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that IT HAS TO BE YOU was found to be lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, IT HAS TO BE YOU will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
