Racing Incident Report
MONGOLIAN LEGEND was slow to begin.
TANG FLEMING shifted out at the start, resulting in WILLIE WAY being taken out onto FAMOUS WARRIOR which became unbalanced after being bumped by WILLIE WAY. After this, despite being ridden along, FAMOUS WARRIOR failed to muster speed.
From the outside barriers, HANG’S DECISION and OWNERS’ STAR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the early stages, JADE FORTUNE was left racing wide and without cover and after the 1300 Metres commenced to prove very difficult to settle. JADE FORTUNE was then allowed to improve its position, however, continued to race wide and without cover.
Approaching the 500 Metres, NUCLEAR POWER raced tight outside WILLIE WAY which improved into tight running between NUCLEAR POWER and DRAGON COMMANDER.
GAMEPLAYER EMPEROR went amiss in its right front leg at the 300 Metres, resulting in K C Leung being dislodged.
Near the 150 Metres, M F Poon (NUCLEAR POWER) dropped his whip.
M L Yeung (MONGOLIAN LEGEND) said that due to the track conditions he was unaware that K C Leung had been dislodged until he was very close to that rider. He said as soon as he became aware that K C Leung had been dislodged, he immediately took evasive action in an attempt to avoid the fallen rider. He said because of the actions that he had to take in an attempt to avoid Jockey Leung, he then eased MONGOLIAN LEGEND down over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of MONGOLIAN LEGEND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
PING HAI TREASURE and TANG FLEMING were sent for sampling. Samples were also taken from GAMEPLAYER EMPEROR.
