Racing Incident Report
JOLLY HONOUR began only fairly.
CLEMENT LEGEND shifted out at the start and bumped STIMULATION.
From wide barriers, COT CAMPBELL, SUPER ELEGANCE and XIANG BAI QI were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
PARTY TOGETHER had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and again near the 150 Metres.
Near the 150 Metres, RED ELYSEES shifted out and bumped CLEMENT LEGEND.
Passing the 100 Metres, SUPER ELEGANCE raced tight between STIMULATION and JOLLY HONOUR.
N Callan (TASHIDELEK) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that over the concluding stages he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of PARTY TOGETHER, resulting in that horse being checked, clipping the heels of TASHIDELEK and stumbling. N Callan was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 4 December 2019 and to expire on Monday, 9 December 2019 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey Callan’s good race riding record. In this incident, A Sanna, the rider of DEFINING MOMENT, which was racing outside PARTY TOGETHER, momentarily stopped riding as PARTY TOGETHER was checked. After shifting in across PARTY TOGETHER, N Callan stopped riding and attempted to straighten TASHIDELEK which resulted in TASHIDELEK not being ridden out to the end of the race.
XIANG BAI QI was not able to obtain clear running until the concluding stages and accordingly was not able to be tested.
A veterinary inspection of COT CAMPBELL, TASHIDELEK and PARTY TOGETHER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DEFINING MOMENT, STIMULATION and SUPER ELEGANCE were sent for sampling.
