Racing Incident Report
LUCKY GOR began only fairly.
GORGEOUS VITALITY, which was fractious in the barriers, began only fairly and then was hampered by COMPASSION SUPER which shifted out. After this, GORGEOUS VITALITY shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of DIAMOND SOARS and then became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of COMPASSION SUPER after travelling a short distance.
DIAMOND SOARS shifted out at the start and bumped NEXTMODEL which was taken out onto VAMOS which was crowded for room inside PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN. After this, VAMOS was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Near the 900 Metres, LUCKY GOR was bumped by GORGEOUS VITALITY which shifted in. After this, GORGEOUS VITALITY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MOMENTUM GALAXY.
Approaching the 700 Metres, VAMOS raced tight outside MOMENTUM GALAXY which shifted out.
Passing the 700 Metres, NEXTMODEL was shifted out away from the heels of COMPASSION SUPER which shifted out marginally.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, COMPASSION SUPER got its head on the side and lay out towards the heels of PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN which for the majority of the race travelled wide and without cover.
Rounding the Home Turn, GORGEOUS VITALITY was awkwardly placed behind NEXTMODEL.
Near the 250 Metres, GORGEOUS VITALITY was shifted in away from the heels of CIRCUIT SEVEN to continue improving. CIRCUIT SEVEN and GORGEOUS VITALITY then bumped passing the 200 Metres.
Passing the 250 Metres, VAMOS was brushed by MOMENTUM GALAXY which shifted out after being bumped by UTOPIA LIFE. After this, UTOPIA LIFE lay out under pressure and passing the 150 Metres shifted out and inconvenienced MOMENTUM GALAXY.
Throughout the race, CIRCUIT SEVEN travelled very wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
After the race, K C Leung stated that MOMENTUM GALAXY did not travel strongly at any stage of tonight’s race and in the Straight did not finish the race off. A veterinary inspection of MOMENTUM GALAXY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, it was reported that DIAMOND SOARS had sustained minor lacerations to the right hock.
GORGEOUS VITALITY, SUPER COMMANDER and FARIBAULT were sent for sampling.
<21/4/2022 Additional Veterinary Reports>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that FARIBAULT was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, FARIBAULT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
