COMMENTS AND PROSPECT:
ARTIE SCHILLER, the former US runner, collected 10 wins from 1200M to 1800M including G1 Breeders' Cup Mile in 2005 with Garrett Gomez on board. In 2007, he started to perform stud duties between US and Australia with 54 black type contests winner and G1 winners among both Southern and Northern Hemisphere. Stallion FLYING ARTIE and two times American G1 champion BOWIES HERO as his representatives. In 2021, his fee is AUD$ 11,000.
ORIENTAL SMOKE was sold at AUD$ 100,000 as a 2YO. He took part in two overseas barrier trials and led all the way on the first batch with sheepskin cheek pieces, then won the second batch by racing just behind the pace with no gear. His dam I’M MARY TOO recorded four wins in sprint contests and most of the family members performed well in sprint events as well. ORIENTAL SMOKE should be one of a kind while Happy Valley with short home straight would be better.
