COMMENTS AND PROSPECT:
STARSPANGLEDBANNER was trained by Leon Corstens in Australia, and landed G1 Caulfield Guineas and Oakleigh Plate with Daniel Nikolic on board. He was purchased by Coolmore and under Aidan O'Brien’s handling afterwards. After settled in Ireland, STARSPANGLEDBANNER claimed Golden Jubilee Stakes and July Cup with Johnny Murtagh in the saddle and made him became a champion sprinter in both European and Australia. He joined the Coolmore’s stallion roaster after retirement but he was sent to second tier stud farm due to his low pregnancy rate. However, his next generations brought some surprise to Coolmore with victories among Royal Ascot races and STARSPANGLEDBANNER made his return. As of now, 24 runners won the black type contests including four-time G1 winner STATE OF REST. CALIFORNIA SPANGLE as his representative in HK. His fee in 2022 is EUR€35,000.
SPANGLE FORTUNE was trained by Carlos & Yann Lerner in France and took part in 5 polytrack events where he just won in a 1300M 2YO maiden contest by settled midfield and made frame by racing handy afterwards with his usual gear tongue tie. The brown gelding looks like his dam sire BATED BREATH that should be most effective in sprint events and both turf and dirt are fine.
