COMMENTS AND PROSPECT:
CHARM SPIRIT was trained by Freddy Head with a record of 6 wins, 1 second and 1 third in 9 starts and he landed, Prix Jean Prat, Prix du Moulin de Longchamp and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, three G1 contests in a row before his retirement. He joined the stallion roster in 2015 and stationed in several stud farms including Aga Khan’s in France, Qatar Racing’s Tweenhills in Great Britain and Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand with 18 black type contests winners. His service fee in 2024 is EUR€ 5,000.
SILVER SPURS was purchased by Mr R Fownes, son of Caspar Fownes at NZD$ 180,000 in 2022 NZB Ready To Run Sale where he finished 200M in 10.75s during the breeze up run. He was trained by Lauren Brennan in New Zealand and took part in 2 barrier trials where he ran on well in a 900M session (21st Mar 2023) when asked to just win that the duel draw clear from the crowd with 9.5L on good going, then shared lead early under restraint in a 1000M session (11th Apr 2023) and kept on for 2nd on soft going. His dam THE PEARLER ran on well in longer races and 3 of her winning foals won over 2000M or upper in distance. The grandson of VOLKSRAAD showed some natural speed that should be able to handle mile in future and should be fine on Happy Valley.
