COMMENTS AND PROSPECT:
DERRYN was trained by David Hayes with a record of 3 wins, 1 second and 3 third in 20 starts, winning distance from 1000M to 1200M including 1200M G2 Royal Sovereign Stakes 3yo Sprint under Mark Zahra that denied GLOBAL GLAMOUR in 2017, also finished 3rd in G1 Doomben 10,000 that behind REDZEL and COUNTERATTACK. However, he made no process at age 4 and retired after no success in 6 attempts. The son of HINCHINBROOK commenced stud duties in 2018 at Grangewilliam Stud, New Zealand with 1 black type contests winner. His serving fee in 2023 is NZD$ 7,000.
VIEW OF THE WORLD was trained by Alex Oliveira in New Zealand and took part in 2 barrier trials where he sat handy early and ran on one-paced when asked for 3rd in a 900M session (31st Oct 2023) on soft going, then slightly slow out but soon to settle handy and ran on well to win an 850M session (5th Dec 2023) on good going. His dam GOSSIPING collected 5 wins from 1000M to 1400M in New Zealand and most of her off-spring prefers sprint to mile events. The bay gelding should be most suited from 1400M to 1600M and fine at Happy Valley.
